I will stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
