Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 titles have been won on hard surfaces
A revitalized Medvedev claimed his maiden title for 882 days with success over opponent Moutet in the competition championship match.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has experienced a difficult year, winning just one win at the major tournaments and undergoing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
His varied form on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serving in especial - led to him dropping out of the top ten and ultimately separating with former trainer Cervara.
Now collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the recent weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over opponent Corentin Moutet.
It is Medvedev's initial trophy after the Italian tournament and first on a hard court after spring of 2023.
Victory also indicates Medvedev has won twenty-one victories at 21 various competitions.
"For the first time I am participating in a competition with my both daughters at once, so to secure a championship is particularly special," commented world number 14 Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my second daughter my daughter, because the first title I got when my child her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had lost his previous six finals, featuring in that event in the past months.
His counter-punching approach and regular outbursts on court had led commentators to doubt if his skill to play at the highest level was finished.
But the player has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, attempting to advance forward and compete aggressively, backed up by an improved serving game.
He fought back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the challenging Moutet, winning four of the concluding five points to take the lead.
Both players swapped break points in the second set before the Frenchman, bidding for his initial tour title, gained dominance to push for a third set.
Moutet rescued four early opportunities in a close deciding set before Medvedev broke to 15 to close out the victory.
Fittingly, the winner clinched the win with a point at the net area, with his opponent incapable to handle a shot after over two and a half hours.
